The London Majors (29-7) will host the Kitchener Panthers (29-7) on Monday in a one-game tiebreaker to see which club will be awarded the Intercounty Baseball League pennant.
The Panthers smothered Brantford 9-3 on Sunday to force the tiebreaker. London had taken a half-game lead atop the IBL standings with a 2-1 win over the Panthers on Friday.
That Friday night victory was London’s seventh straight.
The Majors have not won an IBL pennant since 2008. They haven’t captured an IBL title since 1975.
First-pitch has been set for 7:35 p.m. The winner of Sunday’s contest will take on last-placed Guelph in the first round of the playoffs. The loser will play Hamilton.
