The OPP said Friday that two people were saved by their life jackets after falling off their Sea-Doo and bobbing around in the waters of Georgian Bay for 3 hours.
Officers say it was around 8:20p.m. last Sunday night when they were contacted about a man yelling for help in the water near Tiny Beaches Road.
Residents were able to help the man and the OPP managed to track down a woman who was also in water about 2 km off shore.
Once the pair was safe, officers learned they’d been on a Sea-Doo off of Wasaga Beach when they fell off and the watercraft got away from them.
Their life jackets kept them upright for about 3 hours until help arrived. They did not require medical attention.
Officers say had it not been for the life jackets, there likely would have been a different outcome.
