UPDATE: Environment Canada has ended its severe thunderstorm warning for London.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for London and parts of Middlesex County.
The AM980 Gerrie Electric Storm Centre is tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, heavy rain and hail.
As of 6:30 p.m. Thursday, the warning is in place for London, Parkhill, and parts of Middlesex County.
Forecasters say slow moving thunderstorms extending from near Lucan to the Woodstock area could produce torrential downpours and lightning. The national weather agency says upwards of 50 mm of rain in an hour or less is possible along with 100 km/h wind gusts.

There are reports of torrential downpours and even small hail in the south end of London.
