Another gruesome animal death in the city has the London Humane Society again reaching out to the public.
On Tuesday, officials asked for information after a dead cat was found over the weekend in Springbank Park partially skinned with its intestines about a foot from the body.
On Wednesday, officials asked for information after a dead goose was found at the doorstep of the London Humane Society with several stab wounds.
“We went through several steps to figure out the harm that was brought to this goose,” explains Executive Director Judy Foster.
“We went through several questions amongst ourselves: could this goose have been killed by an animal and it was dropped here? We absolutely don’t believe so. Could this goose have been hit by a car? With the body condition and the nature of the injury, we absolutely don’t believe so.”
Anyone with information about either case is asked to contact the London Humane Society.
Meantime, officials say more information about whether the mutilated cat was skinned before or after it was dead could be released as early as Wednesday once results from a necropsy are in from Guelph.
