Middlesex OPP say a 52-year-old woman was killed following a head-on vehicle collision west of London.
The crash took place Monday afternoon on Glendon Dr. west of Thames Rd., between Mount Brydges and Glencoe. The woman was travelling westbound in a black Ford car in the eastbound lane, hitting an eastbound silver Ford SUV.
The driver and lone occupant of the car, a 52-year-old woman from Southwest Middlesex, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the SUV were transported to hospital-one by ambulance and the other by air transportation with life-threatening injuries, they were later downgraded to non-life-threatening.
The scene was secured by members of the Southwest Middlesex Fire Department, the OPP and Middlesex London EMS. The cause of the crash hasn’t been determined.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of family.
