A severe thunderstorm watch has ended for London-Middlesex.
Environment Canada issued the watch early Monday morning as a system made its way northeast across southern Ontario.
The weather service warned of heavy downpours and pooling water on roads, along with a chance of large hail. While no damage has been reported, OPP say a number of hydro lines are down along Fairview Ave., south of St. Thomas between Southdale Line and John Wise Line.
Power is out for around 4,000 customers in the St. Thomas and Aylmer area. Service is expected to be restored around 9:45 a.m. There is another outage in the Glencoe area affecting 2,100 customers with a restoration time of 2 p.m.
Police are warning drivers to treat any intersections without power to traffic lights as 4-way stops.
The system can be monitored on Environment Canada’s website here.
