Pride London Festival will once again have a day of hot weather as it comes to a close for another year.
The festival’s flagship event, the parade — featuring local politicians, community leaders, and members of the London Police Service — will take over a couple streets as it makes its way closer to Victoria Park.
The event begins at Queens Ave. and Ontario St., traveling west on Queens to Wellington, then north on Wellington to Wolfe St., with the parade dispersing at the park.
Those participating in the parade will walk by three newly painted rainbow crosswalks at Angel and Richmond streets, Dundas and Ontario, and Dufferin and Wellington.
Sunday’s forecasted high is 32 degrees, feeling like 41 with the humidex. Officials will be hoping that a slight chance of afternoon rain and thunderstorms will pass by without any trouble.
AM980’s sister station 103.1 Fresh Radio will be broadcating live from the parade.
Meanwhile, the outdoor festival will continue at Victoria Park until 6 p.m. tonight. A handful of speeches from 2:30-3 p.m. at the bandshell will close the festival.
