Three Londoners are facing several charges after a search warrant executed by police Friday at an East London residence turned up a stolen semi-automatic rifle.
Members of the Guns and Drugs Section conducted the search warrant at a residence on Elias St., police said Monday.
At the residence, police seized a 5.56 mm semi-automatic non-restricted rifle, two loaded magazines, each containing 10 rounds, and 180 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition.
The rifle, a Norinco T97NSR, was reported stolen in November 2015 following a break and enter, police said.
As a result of the investigation, police have charged 30-year-old James Parsons, 54-year-old Karen Parsons, and 57-year-old John Girling with possession of stolen property, careless storage of a firearm, careless storage of ammunition, and unlawful possession of a non-restricted firearm.
In addition, James Parsons faces a charge of possession of a firearm while prohibited.
