Former London Knight Brandon Prust will be back in the Forest City Monday to to announce a significant donation in support of the Ivey Special Eye Examination Services Vision Screening Program at St. Joseph’s Health Care London.
The longtime NHLer will make the donation on behalf of The Brandon Prust Foundation, which he founded in 2014.
The program aims to examine photo screening as a useful and rapid tool to identify eye conditions in children ages 18-months to 4-years-old.
A specialty camera captures irregularities in the eye in order to prevent permanent vision damage.
Prust will appear alongside Michelle Campbell, president and CEO, St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation and Dr. Inas Makar, program director and pediatric ophthalmologist, St. Joseph’s Ivey Eye Institute at the Stoney Creek Community Centre, YMCA & Library at 9:30 a.m.
