After a variety of performances, Saturday marks the fourth and final night of Rock The Park 2016 at Harris Park.
On July 13th and 14th, Londoners were able to enjoy performances by Jake Owen, Dallas Smith, Brad Paisley, Tim Hicks and other country music artists.
Hip-hop artists Flo Rida, Nelly, Classified and Ria Mae stopped by the Forest City on Friday.
FM96 is the official presenter of the concert.
“I think it has been a great week so far. With the country music nights, the hip-hop night last night and [now] we have the modern rock night,” FM96 Program Director Brad Gibb said. “You get a nice mix of music and a nice mix of genres. We are looking to cap it off with a great night.”
For the final day, City & Colour is headlining the concert. The band will be joined by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Awolnation, The Zolas and London’s very own Ivory Hours.
When it comes to London, Gibb stated that coming together as a community and having a good time is what makes the city special.
“People just love getting together and watching a band or getting some form of entertainment,” Gibb said. “There is nothing more London than celebrating in Harris Park.”
The festival was initially created to support Bethany Hope Foundation in progressing research for Metachromatic Leukodystrophy.
Over the years, the event has raised money for other charities.
Proceeds for this year’s festival are supporting Make-A-Wish, Big Brothers Big Sisters of London and Area, Children’s Health Foundation and Western Football.
Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and Ivory Hours will take the stage at 3:50 p.m.
