A 70 year old London man reported missing earlier this week has been located following a collaborative search effort by emergency services.
On Wednesday, London police issued a media release requesting the public’s assistance in locating 70-year-old Christopher Featherstone.
Police said Featherstone (pictured) was last seen in the area of Wellington Road and Commissioners Road East on Tuesday at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Police say after no sightings, further investigation led to an area where Featherstone was believed to have been headed.
Members of the Public Order Unit, Uniformed Patrol officers and detectives in collaboration with auxiliary members, London Search and Rescue, Upper Thames River Conservation Authority, and the London Fire Dept. searched a wooded area southeast on Thursday at around 2:30 p.m.
Just before 8 p.m., he was located by searchers from London Police as well as search and rescue volunteers.
Police say Featherstone was severely dehydrated and required medical attention. He was subsequently transported to hospital for further medical assessment.
