More proof that London’s festival season is well underway.
While it’s been an annual event for the past 7 years, Sunday will mark the first time London’s Colombian Fest will be held in Springbank Gardens.
The event will feature six Latin orchestras, dance performances, two Latin restaurants, and children’s activities.
Organizer Jose Rey said it’s a chance for Londoners to experience authentic art, music, and flavors of Colombia.
“It’s a very good opportunity to share outr culture, our tastes, our colours, our music, everything about our heritage for all communities of Canadians and all communities of London,” said Rey.
Magazine Latino organizes the Colombian festival in London. It aims to commemorate the day of independence of Colombians from Spain.
The festival seeks to integrate all Latinos around music and Colombian folklore.
“It’s free admission, we open the doors around 10 in the morning, and we start the show at around 11a.m., and we have night performances,” said Rey.
The festival is happening on Sunday in Springbank Gardens from 11a.m. until 9p.m.
