Although most Londoners will wake up with power this morning, thousands of people in southern and central Ontario will not be as fortunate following a strong thunderstorm.
Londoners saw an outage in the east end overnight and another early morning outage in Byron.
London Hydro has since restored power to much of the west end.
About 150 people in Middlesex Centre and Ailsa Craig remain without power, though it is expected to be back by Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, hydro crews across Ontario have been working through the night to restore electricity after more than 50,000 people lost power at the peak of the storm.
Communities just south of Georgian Bay were hit the hardest as close to 15,000 people are still without power.
Hydro One said that some of the communities may have to wait until early Sunday evening for their power to be restored.
