The two men found guilty of murdering Tim Bosma are appealing their convictions.
Dellen Millard and Mark Smich, convicted last month of killing the Hamilton man, have both filed notices of appeal with Ontario’s top court.
Smich, 28, of Oakville, says he had an unfair trial, claiming the judge made errors in his charge to the jury and “other rulings.”
Millard, 30, of Toronto referenced more than a dozen issues with the trial in his appeal. Among them, that the judge should have excluded evidence found on his farm as well as on various electronic devices which violated his charter rights.
Bosma disappeared three years ago after taking two strangers on a test drive of a truck which he was trying to sell online.
His remains were later found burned beyond recognition in an animal incinerator on Millard’s farm near Waterloo.
