Questions remain unanswered following a house fire in Old East Village that sent one person to hospital.
Fire crews were called to the scene at a home on Princess Ave. around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to reports of a fire.
Officials say one person was sent to hospital, but their condition remains unknown. No other injuries were reported.
Two dogs were able to escape safely, one of which was rescued by neighbours who responded quickly to the blaze.
The fire inspector remained on site Tuesday to investigate.
Police say there was extensive damage to the home but there is currently no damage estimate.
It remains unclear how the fire started.
