Thousands of country music fans will converge on Western Fair District’s raceway infield Friday for the first day of the inaugural Trackside Music Festival.
Chris Young will headline Friday’s concert, with support from Randy Houser, and Canadians Brett Kissel and Jess Moskaluke.
Young, a native of Tennessee, had his latest album “I’m Comin’ Over” debut at #1 on Top Country Albums on the back of its title track, which also hit #1.
While there is a bit of rain expected for the morning, organizers say it’s a rain-or-shine event.
Canada Day fireworks will proceed the musical acts. The event is set to wrap up by 11 p.m.
Florida Georgia Line will highlight the second day of music with a headlining set on Saturday.
Saturday’s concert will be the second-ever at the Western Fair’s outdoor venue. Van Halen played the first show there last August.
