Londoners celebrating Canada’s birthday will once again flock to Harris Park on Friday for the annual celebration and fireworks.
The downtown event kicks off at noon with a First Nations Gathering, followed by a parade and opening ceremonies procession at 2 p.m.
A number of music acts will follow throughout the day, eventually leading up to fireworks at 10 p.m.
The complete itinerary can be found here.
Meantime, a last-minute addition of the Upper Thames Military Re-enactment Society will only add to the festivities. The group will fire a historical cannon five times over the afternoon.
Across the river, the London Majors will hold their annual Canada Day game at Labatt Park. Patrons are encouraged to wait around after the game to take in the fireworks.
If you’re unable to make it to Harris Park, there are a number of other events going on around the city. A list of those events can be found here.
