London’s Country Music Week is calling on all country fans.
The committee is looking for local volunteers to help with the upcoming 40th edition of Country Music Week and the 2016 Canadian Country Music Association Awards.
“We are excited to call upon London’s incredible volunteer network to work with us in producing an incredible event this September as London hosts our national country music industry and fans from across the country,” said Chris Campbell, Chair of London’s Country Music Week Host Committee. “Country Music Week presents a tremendous opportunity to showcase London’s music industry, venues, and community to a national audience.”
The committee is looking for enthusiastic people for a wide variety of roles to help before, during, and after the four day event.
Volunteers will be expected to work a minimum of three shifts, each of which is four hours long.
Interested applicants are asked to visit the London Tourism website, create an online volunteer profile, and sign up for the Country Music Week event before June 24th at 5 p.m. Any questions can be forwarded to Patrice Whiffen at email@example.com.
This marks the first time London has hosted country music’s biggest week.
Country Music Week and the CCMA Awards Show, managed by the Canadian Country Music Association will run from September 8th to 11th with music conferences and community celebrations.
The awards show will broadcast nationally on September 11th.
