Oxford County OPP say a 13 year old student and a male driver were both taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a school bus left the roadway and struck a hydro pole.
Officers and the Zorra Township Fire Deptarment were called to the 43rd Line between Perth/Oxford Road and Road 96 around 8:40 a.m. Monday.
The investigation has revealed the Elgie Bus Line school bus, with 17 students on board, was travelling southbound on the 43rd Line when it left the roadway, entered the ditch, struck a hydro pole, and came to a stop off the roadway.
The male driver and a 13 year old female student were both transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Three other students were treated at the scene and released with minor injuries by Perth County paramedics.
Police are also publicly thanking the witnesses who stopped and helped out at the scene.
The collision remains under investigation.
