A baby boy delivered via emergency C-section after his mother was fatally shot in Toronto last month, has died.
Candice Rochelle Bobb, 35, was five months pregnant when she was shot in a drive-by shooting in Toronto’s northwest end on May 15.
She was returning home from a basketball game in a vehicle with three other people when shots were fired from a second vehicle.
Bobb, who was the only one injured, was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead and the baby was delivered.
At the time, the baby was listed in stable, but serious, condition.
In a statement released via Toronto Police, Bobb’s family said the baby boy passed away shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
Police say no arrests have been in connection with Bobb’s killing. They continue to appeal to witnesses to come forward.
In their statement, the family has asked for privacy.
