A possible underwater signal from missing EgyptAir Flight 804 has been detected under the Mediterranean Sea.
Egypt said Wednesday a French ship has picked up signals, presumed to be from black boxes from the doomed EgyptAir plane that crashed last month.
The plane crashed May 19th, killing all 66 passengers and crew on board, including two Canadians.
A second ship is set to join the search team later this week.
Locator pings emitted by flight data and cockpit voice recorders, known as the black boxes, can be picked up from deep underwater.
Recently, the search for the plane was narrowed to a five kilometre area in the Mediterranean.
