Environment Canada is bracing for a hot and humid weekend and has issued a special weather statement for all of southern Ontario.
The national weather agency says daily highs are expected to range from 28 to 32 this Friday and Saturday with lows only dropped to 17 to 21 degrees overnight. On Sunday and Monday temperatures in the high 20s are expected with lows in the mid to high teens.
The statement says heat warnings are not anticipated but notes that this is the first stretch of very warm and humid weather this season and that the heat does pose a risk. Everyone is advised to stay hydrated and dress for the weather.
In London specifically, Environment Canada’s calling for a high of 28 on Friday and 31 on Saturday though it will feel like the mid to high 30s with the humidity. Overnight lows of 18 forecast for both days.
