It was a deadly long weekend in Wasaga Beach after two separate stabbings.
Huronia West OPP were called to reports of a stabbing on Main Street near Skull Island, a pirate-themed mini putt course, at around 3:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, police found a man, apparently stabbed to death. While details surrounding the death are few, police have identified the victim as 23-year-old Erick Tello Arias from Caledon.
Less than a kilometre away from that scene, an 18-year-old man was stabbed to death on Saturday. Police say it happened in the Mosley Street area near Pizza Pizza at around 10:35 p.m.
He has been identified as 18-year-old Francesco Molinaro from Caledon.
Police say they do not believe the two incidents are connected and there are no suspects in custody.
Members of the Central Region Support Team, detectives from Crime Units throughout Central Region, the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit and the Emergency Response Team under the direction of Acting Detective Inspector Randy Wright of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch continue to investigate.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed either of the incidents to come forward.
