One of the two men accused in the death of Tim Bosma is staking the stand in his own defence at his first degree murder trial.
The lawyer representing Mark Smich started calling evidence Wednesday morning, and Smich is testifying.
Smich and co-accused Dellen Millard are charged with first degree murder in the case and have both pleaded not guilty.
Earlier this week, the lawyer representing Millard said he’s elected to call no evidence and Millard won’t testify in his own defence.
Tim Bosma disappeared three years ago on May 6, 2013 after taking two strangers on a test drive in a truck he was trying to sell online.
His remains, burned beyond recognition, were found a week later.
