Two people are in police custody after a high risk take-down on the 401, west of London Monday.
A stolen truck was identified by officers travelling west on the 401 at around 7:30 a.m.
Middlesex County OPP positioned themselves along the highway in the Thamesville area and then executed a take-down, boxing in a grey truck, forcing it to stop.
Officers also had a spike belt ready to deploy if the truck didn’t stop.
Police reported minor damage to the truck and one cruiser, including deployed air bags, during the take-down.
According to Police, the 35 year-old Kitchener man driving the vehicle and the 23 year-old Windsor woman who was a passenger were taken into custody without incident.
Both have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, and are scheduled to appear at a bail hearing on Tuesday.
The westbound lanes of the highway were temporarily closed at Victoria Road, but have since been re-opened.
