London police say two men wanted in connection with Friday’s shooting in the downtown core are considered armed and dangerous.
Police say 25-year-old William Dwayne MacDonald and 26-year-old Samater Ali, both from London, are charged with aggravated assault, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and discharge firearm with intent to wound/endanger life.
Police were called to the parking lot behind Barney’s Bar and Grill near 198 John Street, just west of Richmond Street at around 2:23 a.m. Friday to reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, an adult male was found suffering from a gunshot wound.
Middlesex-London EMS transported the male from the scene with injuries considered life threatening.
The identity of the victim has not been released and he remains in critical condition. The victim and accused parties are not known to be otherwise associated with each other, according to police.
MacDonald is described as white, 6’0″, 260 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
Samater Ali is described as black, 5’8″, 190 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
“Both men should be considered armed and dangerous and, if seen, neither individual should be approached,” said a media release from London police
“Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these individuals is asked to call 911 immediately.”
