Suspension orders have been mailed out to 208 students in Perth County whose immunization records are not up to date.
According to the Perth District Health Unit, students who do not update their records will not be allowed to attend school after May 17th.
Health Unit officials say they’ve been contacting families to get missing records, or to advise them on which immunizations are needed.
“We do not want any children to miss school because the Health Unit does not have an up-to date immunization record,” says Lorna Askes, Public Health Nurse. “The Health Unit can remove suspension orders up until May 16 if we receive the required immunization information or a valid exemption.”
Suspension orders can be removed up until May 16th.
Immunization clinics will be held at Health Unit offices over the next few weeks.
