Huron County OPP say they’ve charged a Bluewater man with sexual assault and a number of other offences.
Officers say they were contacted about an alleged incident that took place on March 20th of this year in Goderich.
As a result of the investigation, police say they charged 52-year-old Kelly Laycox from the Municipality of Bluewater with the following offences:
- Sexual assault
- Sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age
- Making child pornography
Officers say Laycox is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Goderich to answer to the charges on Friday.
Huron OPP say they’d also like to speak with anyone who may have had any direct or indirect interactions with Laycox.
They say he has presented himself as a pastor, monk and a life coach. Officers say the suspect has also been self-employed as a counsellor, tai chi & taiji teacher and meditative skills instructor. The man was commonly referred to as “Mr. Kelly” by students and has volunteered in the past at area schools and with community groups.
